Start Young

Start Young – Social and educational project for Young Business Starters to present and accomplish the business ideas.

Why did your club / union choose to do this project?
The project was chosen as an opportunity for supporting the young people.
The main issues are the ideas of the quality education, the lifelong study and the social commitment to become guiding values for all start-ups companies.

How did you implement this project? What concrete actions did you take to tackle the issue you mentioned in the previous question?
Maintenance and promo awareness through our network within the month October 2022.
Providing along the exact project dates 27th-29th of Oct 2022 as follows:

• 2 mentor members:
  Rosina Makedonska for project of Dessislava Dimitrova and Nikos Saridis – AIM iPET (Animal In Mothering and pet transport)
  Petya Angelova for the project of Elena Nedyalkova – ENCORE – Sustainable Clothing
• 1 judge member – Ani Chakurova
• Club members support within the 50-hours final competition

Did you encounter any problems in organising or running your project?
As there were involved diffrent people, the connections were not running pretty well.

How did you solve this problem? What did your club/union learn form solving these problems that you would like to share with others Soroptimists who might find themselves in the same situation?
The solution was to be in touch when there was an occurred issue through social options as Club Viber, messenger, email an etc. And so, all the members involved in the project were dully informed and the proper action was taken.

Did the members of your club/union consider this project a success?
Certainly as it was taken the second place for the ENCORE – Sustainable Clothing project of Elena Nedyalkova (22 years old, student) and mentored by Petya Angelova.
The next Start Young will take place at the end of Jan 2023.
