Soroptimist International of Europe champions grassroots projects that improve the lives of women and girls — from mentoring young women to promoting health, education, and sustainability.

Our Unions and clubs have implemented thousands of impactful projects across our five key focus areas: education, women’s empowerment, elimination of violence against women, health and food security, and sustainability. Each year, we recognise the most outstanding initiatives through the Best Practice Awards (BPAs). The BPAs celebrate the most impactful projects by Clubs and Unions. Awards are given according to our five areas of focus previously mentioned. These awards honour innovation, dedication, and the power of collective action. The best projects are carefully selected by a jury chaired by the SIE Programme Team, ensuring that excellence and relevance guide the recognition process.

Through our Programme Focus Report system (PFR), we document and share this work — not just to track progress, but to amplify impact, inspire others, and strengthen advocacy across Europe and beyond.
