Choosing the winners was not an easy task for the Jury but, evaluating each of the projects according to a set of predetermined criteria, they managed to select the 12 winners in a fair and transparent way.
One “Project of the Year” Award and two Awards for each of the following Programme Objectives:
- Education
- Economic Empowerment
- Elimination of Violence Against Women and Girls
- Health
- Sustainable Environment
The announcement of the winners was greeted by warm applause from the Soroptimists during the Governors’ Meeting in Sofia (Bulgaria) 9-10 July 2016.
